Thoughts on the new year

Hello readers!

Well here we are, back for 2008. A lot has happened and, if my hunch is correct, a lot remains to happen!

I recently left my role at the commercial classifications place. It was becoming too difficult to continue, there was a signifcant lack of organisation at that place. Their workload has increased dramatically, but the manager is expecting the same number of people working the same hours to cope with the increased work! It just wasn't working out. So I left, but I felt it was the right time to go. It was after all a temp assignment, and I was ready for a change.

In total I was only there 4 months, but I worked extremely hard - it was intensive customer service, call after call after call, but the people I talked to made it worthwhile! They were media people - people from the stations, or people from advertising agencies. So they were often quirky - like me! - and I was able to have a good laugh with most of them. I certainly enjoyed that time there, but all good things....

So here I am looking to new horizons. I'm not sure where I'm immediately going from here, but I'm working on using manifestation techniques. They are simple, found in most any self-help book. But I'm really inspired by a book my partner recently purchased called The Law of Attraction (by Esther & Jerry Hicks). It feels like it could open new vistas of opportunity for me. And instead of just being random like I was before, I've got more of a target now. Or at least better tools to create my target.

I feel a lot more empowered now, so we'll see where this takes me. Hopefully toward my dreams! But more on those another time.
